Samantha Augeri is used to people asking her about the weather. She’s been giving Long Islanders their local forecasts since 2010. (She left the network briefly and rejoined the team in 2019.) But as a regular viewer, I’ve had some other questions for Sam—like, where does she get her hair cut? And which mascara does she use to make her lashes look so lush? I had the opportunity to meet the Rockville Centre resident at the grand opening of the News12 Studios in Bethpage, and she’s every bit as polished in person as she is on screen. So, I had to know all of her secrets! Here, the busy mom of three talks about her go-to Long Island beauty spots and her favorite product finds for TV life, mom life—and everything in between.

With three kids, I imagine you’re always on the go. What’s your everyday beauty routine like?

“When I’m not at work, my look is very clean and simple. I’m a mom. I’m also a runner and a triathlete, so I’m always training. I keep my skin hydrated and try to battle fine lines and pigmentation from sun damage. I was an ocean lifeguard for a long time. I wasn’t so good with sunscreen back then, so I have some damage. Now I wear Supergoop! sunscreens. Most days, I wear the Unseen Sunscreen SPF 40 as a makeup primer. My makeup goes on over it so nicely. For moisturizer, I love YoungLiving CBD Beauty Boost. Facial oils work better for my skin than serums or creams. I use this one every morning and night—I can’t get enough of it! It gives my skin a nice glow and makes it look plump.”

You must have your TV makeup down to a science! What are your go-to products?

“Yes, I haven’t changed my routine or products much over the past few years. I stick with what works for me. Some of my favorites include the Too-Faced Shadow Insurance Eyeshadow Primer—gotta have my primers! I use the Anastasia Beverly Hills Brow Wiz Ultra-Slim Precision Brow Pencil. I wear the KVD Beauty Lock-It Foundation. It’s great for TV because it’s full coverage and stays put. I’ll do my makeup at 1:oo p.m., and it stays perfect until I get home around 11:30/midnight. And I always apply it with a Beauty Blender. I also can’t live without my Gucci Éclat Soleil Luminous Bronzer.

For TV, I wear Ardell Faux Demi Lashes. I have the worst lashes! But I’ve been using GrandeLash-MD Lash Enhancing Serum—and wow! When I have nothing on, they look a little bit longer. But if I put on mascara, even without curling my lashes, it’s unbelievable! Now I want to try the GrandeBrow Brow Enhancing Serum.”

Your wavy blowouts are always perfect. Do you do them yourself?

“Thanks! Yes. I use an old-school Conair 3/4-inch Curling Iron. I’ve tried others, but my hair doesn’t hold a curl as well as it does with this one. For cuts and color, I recently started going to Jess at Glass Beauty Bar in Rockville Centre. She’s fantastic! She’s added more depth to my blonde hair.”

Where do you go for facials?

Boost Your Beauty Medi-Spa in Merrick is like one-stop shopping for me. They do everything there, from resurfacing facials to brows. I recently had laser resurfacing for acne scarring and sun damage. I just had my last of three treatments. Even after the first one, my husband said, ‘Wow! What did you do?!’ You could see a difference. There’s a little downtime, so I’m swollen and scabby right now [at the time of this interview], but I’m excited to see my final results.”

Me, too!
